Animal Kingdom’s Yucaipa shop is on Yucaipa Boulevard. Call 909-954-1820 to book a full groom, a bath, a breed-specific clip or a nail trim.
Yucaipa sits higher than the valley floor, in the foothills below Oak Glen, with Crafton Hills on one side and Wildwood Canyon State Park on the other. Dogs here spend more time on dirt trails and in brush than city dogs do, and their coats show it.
It is a town of yards, ranch-style lots and trail walks, which means burrs, foxtails, dusty coats and plenty of nail wear. A regular groom keeps all of that in check.
Yucaipa · San Bernardino County
What Yucaipa dogs come in for.
Trail clean-ups
Burrs and seeds from foothill trails tangle into feathering on legs, ears and tails. A brush-out, bath and tidy trim get them out before they mat.
Foxtail-season trims
A neat trim around the feet, ears and armpits in late spring and summer gives foxtails fewer places to hide.
Heavy shedders
Goldens, labs, shepherds and huskies get a deshedding bath to clear loose undercoat, especially in spring and fall.
Breed-specific clips
From Schnauzers to Bichon Frise, breed-specific clips start at $75+.
Local notes
Good to know in Yucaipa.
A little cooler, still hot
Yucaipa’s elevation takes a little edge off the heat compared with the valley floor, but summer days are still hot and dry. Walk early and check pavement with the back of your hand.
Wind and fire season
Santa Ana winds and wildfire smoke reach the foothills. Dusty coats and dry skin follow; a Royal Bath adds sensitive skin shampoo and paw and nose moisturizer.
Wildlife and brush
Foothill brush can hide foxtails and ticks. Check your dog after every trail walk, and call your vet for anything embedded.

Bleeding nail, a hot spot, limping, a cut, or a dog that seems unwell? Call your veterinarian. Heavy panting, collapse or vomiting on a hot day can be heatstroke: move your dog to shade, wet it with cool (not ice-cold) water and get to a vet right away.
